Private Charters
Private charters are reservations made exclusively for your party. A private charter allows us to cater the excursion to your wishes. The result is a unique experience on the waters surrounding Acadia National Park. Please check out our sailing trips and let us know what you’d like your experience to be. The length of the sail is up to you, but our most popular cruise is a 3-hour half-day sail. Instruction is available and no sailing experience is required. All of our trips are fully crewed and you may do as much or as little sail handling as you wish. Special excursions such as a lobster bake or island dinner cruise to Little Cranberry Island can make a unique and lasting memory of your visit to Bar Harbor and Mound Desert Island.
Shared Charters
A shared trip is a sail enjoyed between two more different parties. These sails are two or three hours in length and also include an appetizer and soft drinks. Shared trips require a minimum of two passengers on board in order to sail. With a maximum number of passengers being six, the experiences remain intimate with the natural surroundings. Shared sails visit the Bear Island Lighthouse, the Cranberry Islands, and Somes Sound Fjord among other local attractions.
Sunset Dinner Cruise
Relax as the wind dies down in late afternoon with a cruise around Great Harbor. As the sun dips low the light on the ocean is incredible. After navigating under the granite cliffs of Somes Sound Fjord, we'll pass by the Bear Island Lighthouse, a 100-year-old Osprey nest, and visit a seal colony. Next, we will dock at Little Cranberry Island for great food at the Isleford Dock Restaurant. Our return trip will take you home after dusk. Water taxi service is also available.
