Acadia National Park Transportation
What is more Maine than cruising around islands off the coast with its lighthouses, wildlife, views of the Acadia mountains, and historic fishing villages. Better yet, spend time on a nearby island surrounded by the ocean. It’s a leisurely half-hour trip on Elizabeth T, our water taxi, to the most popular islands, Little Cranberry Island (Islesford) and Great Cranberry Island. Elizabeth T can depart from Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, or another approved dock closer to you.
Enjoy lunch or dinner at the Islesford Dock Restaurant on Little Cranberry Island, a picturesque harbor town, with fine art galleries, a historical museum, and other small shops. Or visit Great Cranberry Island with its granite rock beaches, walking trails, cafes, quaint general stores, and museums. Order a delicious seafood lunch at Hitty’s Cafe and relax by the ocean.
Larger groups can preorder for convenience. Elizabeth T can hold up to 21 passengers to accommodate larger gatherings for special occasions such as wedding showers, birthday celebrations, or other social or business events. Feel free to bring your own refreshments for the cruise to and from the islands.
